LSU is coming off one of its biggest wins in Brian Kelly's first year with the Tigers. They beat the Alabama Crimson Tide 32-21 in overtime. Fans stormed the field after the thrilling win, and the Tigers moved to seven on the AP poll.
But, during the game, two injury concerns stood out. The first was left guard Garrett Dellinger who has been out because of a knee injury suffered in the week six game against Tennessee. But coach Kelly doesn't expect Dellinger to be out much longer.
“Garrett Dellinger looked good; we worked him out yesterday. [Looks] much better,” Kelly said to Henry Huber. “I think he’s in a great position that he could play this weekend.”
RB Armoni Goodwin received only one carry against Alabama after receiving at least nine touches in his last three games. Goodwin returned in late October after being on the injury report for a couple of weeks.
Coach Kelly was asked about Goodwin's lack of workload and said this wasn’t the best matchup for Goodwin, who is more of a speed back. Instead, he decided to play Josh Williams and John Emery Jr, who were the focal points of the offensive game plan. They combined for 121 yards on 17 touches and two touchdowns.
LSU is favored by 3 points on the road against Arkansas, and the over/under is 63.5, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
