La'el Collins Injury: Bengals RT Carted to Locker Room With Knee Sprain

Update: After the game, Kelsey Conway reported that initial tests on Collins showed his ACL was intact. While this is good news in the longer term, Collins will still likely miss multiple weeks and may not return until the first round of the playoffs.

Cincinnati Bengals right tackle La'el Collins exited in the first quarter against the Patriots with a left knee injury and is unlikely to return.

By video, Collins was pass blocking when his left leg was landed on by a Patriots defender. He appeared to suffer a high-grade MCL sprain with possible ACL involvement as well.

He walked to the sideline under his own power, then was carted to the locker room. Collins was ruled out a short time later.

The former Cowboys tackle will undergo an MRI after the game to evaluate the damage, but it's highly unlikely he returns in the regular season.

Hakeem Adeniji will likely fill in at tackle for him the remainder of the game, if not season.

The Bengals face the Bills at home in Week 17.
