HBO Max’s Hard Knocks has already proved valuable when it comes to injury information.
In the first episode of the in-season Hard Knocks on the Arizona Cardinals, quarterback Kyler Murray revealed when he suffered his hamstring injury in last week's loss to the Seahawks.
After a 17-yard scramble with 1:44 remaining in the second quarter, Murray went to the sideline during a timeout and told a trainer “I felt my sh*t,” referring to his hamstring.
He remained in the game, but is reportedly a game-time decision for Sunday’s matchup against the Rams.
Murray logged limited practices on Thursday and Friday, but the Pro Football Docs do not expect him to play this week against the Rams.
If he is active, he will have limited mobility and will be primarily a pocket-passer.
After the injury, Murray completed 14 of 18 passes for 87 yards and a touchdown. He was also sacked 5 times, but had 3 rushes for 16 yards and a lost fumble.
Prior to injury, he went 11 for 17 for 88 yards and a touchdown, plus five rushes for 44 yards.
If Murray is inactive for the game, Colt McCoy will make his 34th career start and his first start since Week 11 last season.
McCoy had 740 yards, 3 touchdowns and an interception in 3 games filling in for Kyler Murray last season.
The Rams have their own quarterback injury issues with quarterback Matthew Stafford, but are 3-point favorites at home. The over/under is at 40.5, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
