Kyle Pitts is having a slow start to his sophomore season. He’s only caught 10 of the 22 passes thrown in his direction. He’s tied for 75th in receiving yards on the season with 150, and he hasn’t scored a touchdown. But, to make matters worse, Pitts hasn’t practiced all week after finishing the team’s week 4 matchup.
There were no signs of him being hobbled in the game. But he’s been a DNP on the team’s injury report with a hamstring injury.
According to the Pro Football Docs, Pitts is Unlikely to suit up this week against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and would be ineffective if he does.
This is awful news for the Atlanta Falcons passing game, which ranks 28th in passing yards per game, according to Yahoo Sports. Furthermore, this is terrible news for Pitts’s fantasy owners, who drafted him high in their fantasy drafts. He has been one of the biggest fantasy disappointments this season, and this injury is just the “icing on the cake.”
Look for Drake London to continue his monster rookie season without Pitts and star pass-catching running back Cordarrelle Patterson. London leads the team in receiving yards(231), 1st down catches(12), and receiving touchdowns(2).
