By video, suffered left ankle inversion sprain in 3rd quarter Thursday night against the Heat - has previous history of sprains on that side including last season when he missed 3 games - likely to return after a short absence with a chance to play Monday against the Pelicans or Tuesday against the Pacers.
Porzingis had 19 points, 4 rebounds and 1 assists on 6-9 shooting including 3-4 from the 3-point line before exiting. He ran to the locker room without assistance, a good sign he will be able to return shortly.
Boston triumphed over the Heat to bring their record to 35-10 on the season.
The former Wizards big man is averaging 19.5 points, 6.8 rebounds and 2 assists on 52.5/35/83.7 splits in 32 games this season.
Luke Korney and Oshae Brissett may see more time with Porzingis likely out of the lineup against the Clippers on Saturday.
