Diagnosed with a fractured right index finger - likely out for season but return timetable will depend on type of fracture - not much reason to return this season for Chargers team well out of playoff contention - Easton Stick to play QB going forward.
Herbert was 9 of 17 for 96 yards and an interceptions before exiting. He was sacked 4 times for a total of 37 yards lost.
The Chargers face the Raiders on Thursday and Stick will be the starter.
