J.K. Dobbins Return Timeline: Ravens RB to Undergo Arthroscopic Knee Surgery
2 min read • October 21, 2022
Ravens running back J.K. Dobbins will reportedly undergo arthroscopic knee surgery on his ailing left knee next week and will miss at least four weeks.
The Pro Football Docs have detailed all offseason why it would be difficult for Dobbins to be effective early this season.
If he is able to return for late season usage and a potential postseason appearance, that would be a win, according to the Pro Football Docs. The four-to-six week reported timeline seems optimistic.
Dobbins himself talked last month about the severe damage he experienced in his knee.
This upcoming surgery is likely delayed because there is inflammation in his knee. He did not play in the second half last week because his knee “tightened up.”
The knee scope is meant to clean out his knee and return without further issues.
Baltimore's bye week comes in Week 10, but Dobbins would be fortunate to make it back anytime earlier than Week 12.
Justice Hill, who missed the last two weeks with a hamstring injury, practiced in full this week and will likely be in the mix for carries along with Kenyan Drake.
