San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo will miss the rest of the season after suffering several broken bones in his left foot during the 49ers 33-17 win over the Dolphins.

The injury leaves the 49ers with Brock Purdy as the only remaining healthy quarterback on the roster.

Trey Lance suffered a fractured ankle in Week 2, leading Garoppolo to take over as the starting quarterback.

By video, the Pro Football Docs believed Garoppolo was dealing with a high left ankle sprain. He entered the game with a mild MCL sprain in his left knee.

Purdy, who was selected with the last pick of the 2022 draft, finished with 25 completions on 37 passes for 210 yards, 2 touchdowns and 1 interception.

He will be the starter for the foreseeable future.

San Francisco faces the Buccaneers at home in Week 14.

Garoppolo finishes the season with 2,437 passing yards, 16 touchdowns and 4 interceptions in 11 games.
