Jayson Tatum Suffers Ankle Sprain in Game 4

Jayson Tatum suffered a left inversion ankle sprain late in the Celtics Game 4 win versus the Miami Heat. With a little over five minutes remaining in the game Patty Mills was called for a defensive foul, right after the whistle was blown, Tatum took a practice shot but Heat F Bam Adebayo contested the shot and Tatum's left foot landed on Adebayo, causing his ankle to bend before hitting the floor.

Tatum remained in the game and the Celtics won 102-88 to take a 3-1 lead in the series.

Pro Basketball Docs expect Tatum to play through the injury but will be hampered for the remainder of the series. Tatum will be closer to 100% if the Celtics advance to the next round.

In the post-game press conference, Tatum said, "I was mad, just because it's the same ankle (from Game 7). I've tweaked my ankle 1,000 times playing this game. It was throbbing, but then the adrenaline made it wear off I guess, and just kept playing."
