The Oklahoma City Thunder have not announced a return date for Jalen Williams, who has missed the past six games with a left hamstring strain.
Williams suffered the injury in Game 2 of the opening-round series against the Phoenix Suns. He did not play in any games during the Thunder’s four-game sweep of the Lakers. Last week, Thunder coach Mark Daigneault said Williams remained week-to-week.
Pro Football Doc Analysis
Heading into the Lakers series, Pro Football Doc said the Thunder would likely be cautious with Williams because any reaggravation of the hamstring could cause him to miss the remainder of the playoffs.
Despite the week-to-week designation, Pro Football Doc expects Williams to be good to go for Game 1 of the Western Conference finals.
Jalen Williams Hamstring Injury
Williams’ injury adds another concern to a season already limited by health issues. He played in just 33 games this season after missing the first 19 games while recovering from offseason surgery on his right wrist.
He also had two separate absences because of a right hamstring strain before suffering the current Grade 1 strain in his left hamstring.
Looking Ahead
The Thunder are a perfect 8-0 in the postseason, going 6-0 without Williams in the lineup.
The Western Conference finals are scheduled to begin on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, with the Thunder set to host. The series could move up to May 18, depending on when the semifinals conclude. The Spurs and Timberwolves will play Game 6 on Thursday.
