George Kittle Injury: 49ers' Top Target Likely Limited in Week 2

All-pro tight end George Kittle was a limited participant at practice on Friday for the first time this season and will be a game-time decision for Sunday's divisional bout with the Seahawks.

Kittle is trending towards making his season debut but if the 28-year-old does suit up he will be limited as he gradually works his way back from the groin injury he suffered two weeks ago, according to the Pro Football Docs.

George Kittle Injury Update

The bruising tight end carries an SIC score of 49 for Week 2, re-affirming his game-time decision status and representing the impact his groin injury will have on both the passing and running game.

Kittle missed Week 1 and has now been a participant in one of six practices this season on the revamped offense around burgeoning quarterback Trey Lance.

The 49ers' tight end and starting running back Elijah Mitchell are each featured players on the injury report once again.

The duo missed a combined nine games last season with knee and soft-tissue injuries, spurring Deebo Samuel to a revelatory season as a dynamic offensive weapon.
