Entering 18th Season, Aaron Rodgers Has a Clean Bill of Health

Aaron Rodgers - SIC Score 93

Aaron Rodgers has played up to historic standards for a 38-year-old quarterback, with back-to-back MVP seasons for the Packers.

Rodgers enters year 18 with the same goal in mind. He also enters the year with a clean bill of health, with SIC score of 93.

Aside from the vaccination status drama from last season, Rodgers had only one other injury of note last season: a pinky toe fracture that did not cause him to miss any games. The injury likely didn't impact his performance and was more of a pain management injury, according to our team of Pro Football Docs.

Rodgers has ultimately had a pretty durable NFL career. He’s played in 15+ games in 12 of 14 seasons where he was the starter.

He’s had his fair amount of wear and tear along the way, including an ACL tear in college that he got cleaned up later on in Green Bay. He’s also had 3 concussions, 2 clavicle fractures, an MCL sprain and a few calf strains.

All that being said, the Packers QB has no medical hurdles standing in his way for his 15th season as the starter. However, the loss of Davante Adams significantly affects his fantasy football outlook.

It remains to be seen how the team will use new additions Christian Watson and Sammy Watkins.

In most fantasy leagues, Rodgers projects as a fringe QB 1 due to his lack of elite weapons, however his talent is not in question and he will likely find a way to succeed. Draft him with confidence later in drafts as a backend starting QB 1 with top 5 weekly upside.
