Elijah Mitchell Injury: 49ers RB Leaves With Knee Ailment

San Francisco 49ers running back Elijah Mitchell suffered a knee injury in the third quarter against the Saints and was deemed questionable to return.
By video, the severity of the second-year running back's knee injury was not immediately clear.
Mitchell suffered a right knee MCL sprain in Week 1 and was placed on IR. He returned in Week 10, but is in a complementary role to Christian McCaffrey now.
The 24-year-old had 7 rushes for 35 yards before leaving.
He had 33 rushes for 189 yards entering this week.
The 49ers face the Dolphins at home in Week 13.
Jimmy Garoppolo Injury Update
His quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo appeared to avoid a significant MCL injury in the middle of the third quarter.
He has stayed in, but doesn't appear to be stepping into his throws as often.
