Chicago Bears wide receiver DJ Moore was taken to the hospital following Sunday’s game, despite finishing the contest and being seen celebrating on the field. Reports initially described the issue as a groin injury, but the nature of his hospital visit has led to some speculation about what really happened.
According to Pro Football Doc, a typical groin strain would not usually require hospitalization, making this situation somewhat unusual. He noted that there’s no indication of a hernia, and suggested the possibility of another issue involving the private area, such as swelling or a hematoma, though specifics remain unclear.
Moore did visit the medical tent during the game but managed to play through the injury. The good news, per Dr. Chao, is that Moore is expected to recover quickly. His Week 7 status remains uncertain, but if he does suit up, he’ll likely be wearing extra protection to guard against further injury.
