Giants QB Daniel Jones Ruled Out with Neck Injury

New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones was ruled out with a neck injury after taking his 16th sack in the last two games.

By video, Jones likely suffered a neck hyperextension on the hit, according to our panel of doctors. He was able to walk off and went to the locker room for evaluation.

While any neck injury is concerning, there is no risk for paralysis and this injury is different from the 2021 neck issue that ended his 2021 season.

After the game, Jones said the injury felt “similar” to his 2021 neck injury.

He will undergo X-rays but the Pro Football Docs have hope they will not show a spinous process fracture.

Tyrod Taylor entered the game to replace Jones, who finished the day 14 of 20 for 119 yards and had four rushes for 24 yards.

New York face the Bills on Sunday night in Week 6.
