The Cleveland Browns enter mandatory minicamp with several notable injury situations still worth monitoring after a 2025 season heavily impacted by injuries on both sides of the ball. The most significant storyline remains the recovery of quarterback Deshaun Watson, who continues working back from a re-torn Achilles tendon suffered last season. Meanwhile, offensive tackle Dawand Jones is progressing from a season-ending ankle injury, and linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah remains in recovery after a serious neck injury that cut short his 2025 campaign. Cleveland's health entering training camp could play a major role in determining whether the team can rebound from a disappointing season.

Deshaun Watson – Achilles Tendon

Watson enters training camp healthy after recovering from multiple Achilles ruptures and surgeries spanning 2024 and January 2025. The veteran quarterback was a full participant throughout minicamp and is competing with Shedeur Sanders for the starting job.

Watson has said he feels "fully healthy" following a full offseason of recovery, and there have been no reported limitations. His ability to participate fully throughout the spring is an encouraging sign after such significant lower-leg injuries.

Quinshon Judkins – Ankle

Judkins appears to have made a remarkable recovery from the dislocated right ankle and fractured fibula he suffered in Week 16, injuries that required surgery and ended his rookie season. The running back was a full participant during minicamp and reportedly looked explosive in team drills, showing the same burst and agility he had before the injury.

His recovery has progressed rapidly, and there have been no reported setbacks. Judkins is expected to be a full participant at training camp and appears poised to enter the 2026 season without limitations.

Harold Fannin Jr. - Groin

Fannin did not participate in OTAs or mandatory minicamp this spring due to an undisclosed injury, though the expectation is that his absence was precautionary and related to the groin injury he suffered late last season.

The Browns have not expressed any long-term concern, and the rookie tight end is expected to be fully ready for the start of training camp in late July. By holding him out during the spring, Cleveland appears to be taking a cautious approach with a soft-tissue injury that can easily linger if aggravated too early.

Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah – Neck

Owusu-Koramoah's status remains difficult to project as he continues recovering from the neck injury that ended his season. Neck injuries often carry a wider range of outcomes than typical orthopedic injuries, and the Browns have understandably been conservative with one of their most dynamic defensive players. While he remains involved with the team, his football timeline remains unclear entering minicamp. Cleveland will likely continue evaluating his progress throughout the summer before determining whether he can safely return to game action. The possibility that he’s played his last down is a looming one.

Dawand Jones – Ankle

Jones is fully recovered from the knee injury that required season-ending surgery in 2025. The Browns tackle was a full participant throughout the offseason program and reportedly arrived at minicamp in better shape after trimming down. He is expected to be a full participant at training camp and will compete for starting reps along Cleveland's offensive line.

Mike Hall Jr. – Knee

Hall suffered a right leg/knee scare during OTAs after being helped off the field, but the injury is not believed to be serious. The Browns held the young defensive tackle out as a precaution for the remainder of the spring. The expectation is that Hall will be ready for training camp, and the organization does not appear concerned about his availability moving forward.
