Chris Paul Injury: Phoenix PG Pulled for Heel Soreness
2 min read • November 08, 2022
Suns' point guard Chris Paul suffered an apparent right heel injury attempting to navigate a screen in the second quarter of Monday's loss and didn't return.
Paul and the Suns said his removal was precautionary and that he doesn't anticipate missing time with the injury.
Soreness is often a blanket descriptor for a muscle strain or ligament sprain, although it isn't immediately clear by video the nature and severity of the injury.
The 37-year-old Paul is averaging 10.3 points and 10.2 rebounds in 10 games this season. His next chance to play will be in Minnesota on Wednesday night.
The Suns are 7-3 but will be without starting forward Cameron Johnson for the forseeable future with a right meniscus tear.
