Chidobe Awuzie Injury: Bengals CB Suffers Torn ACL

Update: An MRI confirmed Tuesday morning that Awuzie did indeed suffer a torn ACL. He is done for the season and would be fortunate to return before the second half of next season.
The Bengals ruled out starting cornerback Chidobe Awuzie with a right knee injury he suffered in the first half on Monday night.
Based on initial video, the Pro Football Docs believe the injury mechanism is consistent with a torn right ACL.
The injury would be season-ending and require reconstructive surgery for the 27-year-old cornerback.
Awuzie is expected to undergo further tests to assess the severity of the injury. The team provided no further update.
Cincinnati was already struggling with depth in its defensive back before the blowout loss in Cleveland as starting corner Eli Apple played only 16 snaps last week and missed Monday's game with a hamstring injury.
