Jayson Tatum Injury Update
Tatum went down clutching his right shoulder after this play late in the fourth quarter.
The 24-year-old ran to the locker room after the injury at the 5:33 mark and reentered the ball game at the 3:40 mark.
He did not take a shot and had one turnover in the rest of the Game 3 loss. Tatum finished the game with 10 points on 3-14 shooting and was 1-7 from 3-point range. He also had 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 turnovers.
After the game, head coach Ime Udoka told reporters that Tatum suffered a stinger and he assumes he'll be fine for Game 4 on Monday.
Stinger injuries happen when the nerves in the neck and shoulder are stretched or compressed after an impact.
Tatum should have no lingering effects in Game 4, according to our team of Pro Basketball Docs.
