Adam Thielen has been an extremely productive WR2 for the Minnesota Vikings for over 5 years now. However, entering into his 9th season in the NFL, can he keep it up at the age of 32?
Last season, we saw Thielen play at a touch paydirt at a high level at the age of 31 tallying over 10 touchdowns in just 13 games which is highly impressive. Not only did he do it in 2021, he did it in 2020 as well scoring 14 touchdowns in 15 games.
Thielen’s season was unfortunately cut short in 2021 by an ankle injury that he sustained in Week 13. Thielen returned to the field after missing two contests, before re-aggravating the ankle injury Week 16 (first game back) which forced him into season-ending surgery.
The lifetime Minnesota man endured a 2019 season marred by a hamstring injury initially suffered Week 7, and although he returned to the field after a short absence, further re-aggravations ensued causing him to play in just 13 games.
Overall, Thielen comes into the 2022 NFL season healthy with a SIC Score of 93. Our panel of Pro Football Docs believe that Thielen should be 100% available and not hampered by past issues.
The Minnesota State alum is currently available for Vikings OTAs, getting ready for another season with QB Kirk Cousins and All-Pro WR Justin Jefferson. Vikings fans are hoping that Thielen will give them yet another year of 10+ touchdowns under new Head coach Kevin O’Connell. We expect Thielen to be an extremely relevant fantasy WR once again this season that you can get at great value in fantasy football drafts this season.
