Denver Broncos wideout Jerry Jeudy is reportedly dealing with a chest/sternum and is considered day-to-day, according to NFL Insider Ian Rapoport.
By video, Jeudy appeared to suffer an SC joint sprain in Sunday's win, as the Pro Football Docs detailed Sunday. The injury will likely cause him to miss Week 3 and could keep him out Week 4 as well.
The third-year wideout was initially deemed questionable to return with a shoulder injury, then was eventually ruled out. After the game, head coach Nathaniel Hackett said Jeudy was dealing with an injury to his ribs.
The sternoclavicular joint connects the collarbone to the sternum, thus it could be considered an injury to the ribs or chest.
By video, Jeudy’s injury did not appear as severe as Tyreek Hill’s SC joint sprain in September 2019. That year, Hill missed four games and was able to return Week 6 without limitations.
Jeudy had 4 catches on 7 targets for 102 yards and a touchdown.
He had 1 catch on 3 targets for 11 yards before exiting Week 2.
The 23-year-old receiver suffered a high ankle sprain last season that landed him on IR. He finished the season with 38 catches for 467 yards in 10 games.
Denver is a 1-point underdog at home against the 49ers in Week 3 and the over/under is 45.5, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
The Broncos (1-1) are +340 to win the AFC West.
