Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers underwent a meniscus trim Tuesday in Dallas after suffering a knee injury during training camp.

Bowers was diagnosed with the injury last week, and reports indicate he is expected to miss one or two games to begin the 2026 season.

Brock Bowers' Previous Knee Injury

The Raiders have not confirmed which knee Bowers injured this time, an important detail given his recent history.

Bowers suffered a left PCL sprain with an associated bone bruise in Week 1 of the 2025 season. He played through the injury for much of the year before being placed on season-ending injured reserve ahead of Week 17.

He finished the season with 64 receptions for 680 yards and seven touchdowns in 12 games.

Pro Football Doc on Brock Bowers' Knee Surgery

Pro Football Doc called the meniscus trim the best-case outcome and believes Bowers should be able to avoid injured reserve.

“Certainly big news. Trim is best case. Should avoid IR/DFR,” Pro Football Doc said.

Avoiding injured reserve would allow Bowers to return before the four-game minimum absence required for players placed on IR.

With Bowers unavailable to start the season, Kirk Cousins will be without his All-Pro tight end and top receiving weapon for at least the Week 1 matchup against Miami.

Brock Bowers Return Timeline

A meniscus trim is generally considered a more favorable outcome than a meniscus repair. His return will depend on swelling, range of motion and how the knee responds to increased loading and cutting once he resumes football activities.

The Raiders have not confirmed which knee required surgery, an important detail given Bowers' recent injury history.
