The Miami Dolphins emerge as one of the most divisive teams in anticipation of the 2023 NFL season, with their Super Bowl Odds at +2500, according to DraftKings Sportsbook.
Positioned as a dark horse contender for the Super Bowl, the Dolphins' prospects for achieving this formidable accomplishment hinge on the well-being of quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.
Having sat out the final pair of regular season games and a playoff match due to a concussion, Tagovailoa carries an 85 SIC score into the upcoming season.
According to the Pro Football Docs, Tagovailoa's history of concussions will continue to be a prominent subject throughout his career. Despite encountering two concussions in the previous season, he begins this season in good health, raising hopes that concussions will not resurface.
The Dolphins, alongside Tagovailoa, started last season with an 8-3 record. Yet, due to Tagovailoa's absence during several games, the team faltered to a 9-8 conclusion in 2022. Tagovailoa played in 13 games last season, but he was knocked out of at least two of the games he started.
Should Tagovailoa sustain another concussion, it is likely that he will be sidelined for no less than a month during the season. If he were to experience two concussions in the upcoming season, his career could be in peril.
