James Conner, the Arizona Cardinals’ star running back, exited Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers in the third quarter due to a knee injury. Conner was taken to the medical tent for evaluation, leaving fans and the team anxiously awaiting updates on his condition.
By video, Conner suffered a right knee hyperextension with a likely bone bruise and is likely out for the remainder of today's game.
Before his departure, Conner was having a standout game, rushing 15 times for 117 yards and a touchdown. He also contributed in the passing game, hauling in four receptions for 49 yards. His performance not only helped the Cardinals stay competitive in the playoff race but also marked a personal milestone. The eight-year veteran surpassed 1,000 rushing yards for the second consecutive season during the game, further solidifying his reputation as a reliable offensive weapon.
With the Cardinals now unable to make the playoffs, the team may not be in a rush for him to return to play the Rams in Week 17. Michael Carter who had 30 yards off five carries will likely see increased playing time while Conner is out.
Stay tuned for more updates on James Conner.
