Saquon Barkley is the big name to watch for this matchup, after he apparently picked up a neck ailment in practice.
This NFC East clash may come down to his availability. If he can't go, or is limited, backup Matt Breida would see an increased workload.
The Pro Football Docs expect him to play full snaps and he carries a SIC score of 88 for the contest.
A video review of his carries from the Week 13 game against the Commanders did not show any cause for concern, according to the Pro Football Docs.
The Eagles have the best record (11-1) in the NFL this season. Their only loss was against the rival Washington Commanders. Jalen Hurts is in the MVP conversation and they have one of the deepest rosters in the NFL.
The team has faced minimal injuries this year giving them one of the highest SIC scores in the NFL. But, this week the team has three players that have either missed or been limited in practice.
Linebacker Shaun Bradley has missed two practices this week with a hamstring injury. Bradley suffered this injury in the team’s last game versus the Titans. He’s questionable to play.
Quez Watkins has been the third wide receiver in the Eagles' offense and with tight end Dallas Goedert down his role is even more vital. He’s battling a shoulder injury that’s made him a limited participant this week but he is expected to play.
Linebacker Kyzir White has been limited in practice this week with an ankle injury that he suffered against the Titans. White is second on the team in tackles with 77. He’s expected to play this week, if the ankle doesn't bother him in pregame warmups.
The Giants have lost or tied in four of the team’s last five games. The team is in the playoff hunt based on its hot start this year. But, injuries in the trenches could halt the team’s playoff dreams.
Defensive lineman Leonard Williams is having his best season (83.5 grade), according to PFF. He’s been a beast against the run and rushing the passer. But, a neck injury has made him miss all practices this week and he is doubtful for the game.
Joshua Ezeudu and Shane Lemieux are the team’s left guards this season. They haven’t practiced this week as Ezeudu is recovering from a neck injury and Lemieux is recovering from a toe injury. If neither of them can play this weekend, the team will be playing its third-string guard against the Commanders' front sevens, expecting Chase Young back.
The Eagles are favored by 7.0 points on the road, and the over/under is 44.5, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
