Notre Dame Injury update: Will Cam Hart’s shoulder injury keep him from playing this week?

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish have fought back from a 0-2 start this season to be ranked within the top 15 teams in the nation. But their fight back to relevance hasn’t come without injuries.

Cornerback Cam Hart is battling a shoulder injury that he hurt in the team’s last game. He has started every game for the Fighting  Irish this season and leads the defense in snaps. Hart had off-season shoulder surgery, but the injury didn't flare up until the team’s game against Boston College. He is one of the only players for the Irish listed as questionable.

One of the other questionable players is freshman wide receiver Tobias Merriweather. His head coach, Marcus Freeman, said he’s in concussion protocol. Merriweather has missed the team’s last two games with a concussion.

In Freeman’s Monday press conference, he said defense tackle Jayson Ademilola and senior safety Brandon Joseph are “probable” for Saturday’s game. Ademilola missed the team's last game while in concussion protocol. Joseph has missed the team’s previous two games with an ankle sprain.
