Zach Wilson Injury: Jets' Gunslinger Out Through Week 3

Jets' head coach Robert Saleh said on Wednesday that second-year quarterback Zach Wilson will miss at least the first three games as he continues to rehab from his preseason right knee injury.

Zach Wilson Injury Update

Wilson suffered a torn meniscus and bone bruise when he went down on a non-contact scramble in the first preseason game. As Lamar Jackson proved late last season, bone bruises are often slow-to-heal and is likely holding up his return.

The former No. 2 overall pick missed four weeks last season with a right PCL sprain, an injury that the Pro Football Docs believe created laxity and protected his ACL from damage.

The 23 year old was reportedly expected to miss 2-4 weeks after undergoing arthroscopic surgery during the second week of August, but his recovery has extended into the regular season as the Pro Football Docs expected.

Jets vs Ravens Week 1 Odds

The Jets are 6.5-point underdogs at home against the Ravens in Week 1, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.

They face the Steelers in Week 4, finishing a four-game run facing the entire AFC North to start the season.
