Tennessee Titans veteran quarterback Ryan Tannehill underwent a tightrope procedure this week on his high ankle sprain, but reportedly has an outside chance to return for a Week 18 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars.Tannehill’s tightrope procedure can provide more stability when he does return, but it does not speed up the healing process, according to the Pro Football Docs. If the Titans’ quarterback does return for Week 18, he will still have limited mobility and could require a pain-numbing injection to get through the game.Despite his injury, Tannehill was able to return and finish the Week 15 loss to the Chargers. He suffered a less severe ankle sprain in Week 7 and returned to the game before missing the following two weeks.#Titans QB Ryan Tannehill was carted to the locker room after this playFull analysis on his right ankle injury⏩https://t.co/a645krXae8#NFL #FantasyFootball pic.twitter.com/dizKrmZp8t— Sports Injury Central (@SICscore) December 18, 2022 The Titans (7-7) remain a half game ahead of the Jaguars in the AFC South and will have Malik Willis under center for his third career start. The Jaguars face the Texans on the road in Week 17, then head to Jacksonville for a Week 18 showdown with the Nashville natives.Willis’ first career start came in Week 8 against the Texans.
