Last week's TNF contest was a barnburner with both combining for 76 points and 9 touchdowns. This week features two of the most injured teams to begin the campaign in the Baltimore Ravens and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Ravens started the year without key pieces on both sides of the ball and continue to lose players to injury each week. The Buccaneers, on the other hand, started the year with an assortment of injury issues on offense but recently the injury bug has wormed its way to the defensive side. Baltimore Ravens - SIC Score 69.9 The leagues most unhealthy team to start the year are slowly improving but continue to hover below an 80 SIC score like they have all season. Key positions like running back, left tackle, linebacker and nose tackle have been effected all season but issues to star WR Rashod Bateman and FS Marcus Williams (broken wrist) over the last few weeks have prevented the Ravens from getting over the injury hump. Bateman returned from a foot issue last week producing 42 yards on 5 receptions and is another week healthier. With the recent issues to the Buccaneers secondary, the wideout has a grand injury advantage to exploit come Thursday. Issues of note heading into the mid week game is the health of LB Josh Bynes and TE Mark Andrews. Bynes suffered a quad injury last week and will likely miss the contest leaving the Ravens again short at LB. Andrews will again play through his knee issue but will need to be more effective than the 2 target-0 catch stat line he posted last week. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - SIC Score 81.6The Buccaneers have been banged up on the offensive all year but new defensive injuries going into TNF will be the main issue. Both starting safeties will miss the contest with Logan Ryan on IR (foot) and now Antonio Winfield missing time due to a concussion. On top of the safeties, both starting CBs are out with Carlton Davis (hip) and Sean Murphy-Bunting (quad) nursing separate issues. The secondary will struggle mightily with all four out meaning the Ravens should move the ball effectively throughout the game. On offense the OL is injury riddled and will be even more with LG fill-in Luke Goedeke out due to a foot injury. This injury will cause Tampa Bay to start a third string LG while C Ryan Jensen continues to miss time. RG Shaq Mason is dealing with an ankle issue but will likely play through. The WR room is full on ailments as it has been all year. Star wideout Mike Evans is nursing an ankle but will play through without any issues. Vets Julio Jones (knee) and Russell Gage (hamstring) are hampered with the latter already out. Brady again will have to rely on a less than 100% healthy receiving core for what seems like the 8th time this year. Ravens vs. Buccaneers Week 8 OddsThe Ravens are favored by 1 point on the road and the over/under is 45.5, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. For injury-based picks, sign up for SIC picks here.Through Week 7, our staff is 61% on player props.Injury-Based PlayLamar Jackson O9.5 Rush Attempts The star QB will have an advantage on defense with both safeties out meaning less personnel to spy on him, expect him to move freely and may need to scramble at times with his blindside blocker yet to play at 100% - expect Jackson to run more than 9 times, something he has done in 4 of the last 5 games.
