WNBA Injury Report: Key Player Updates Week 4

Injuries are shaping the early landscape of the 2025 WNBA season, with several star players battling setbacks that could impact both team performance and playoff outlook.

This WNBA injury update breaks down the latest injury updates.

Stay informed with our expert injury analysis and projected availability heading into this week’s games.

Caitlin Clark -Indiana Fever

Is set to be re-evaluated this week around the two week mark since going on the injured list. The Fever are taking a cautious approach, with Clark explaining that the team is avoiding a firm return date because the injury is "kind of a day-to-day thing.” Clark emphasized the unpredictable nature of her injury, noting, "This type of injury, you don’t know. When I wake up, I’ll feel different than the day before. It could be a possibility [to play against the Dream], but I could also not be available.” It’s still possible she’ll miss more time and her status will be updated when a more official timeline is set

Courtney Vandersloot - Chicago Sky

Sustained a torn right ACL on Saturday vs the Fever. The 15 year veteran will miss the remainder of the season leaving the 2-5 Chicago Sky without one of their best outside shooters.

Jonquel Jones - New York Liberty

Sustained a right ankle injury on Thursday vs the Mystics. X-rays confirmed this should only be a minor injury. Nyara Sabally has also missed time, limiting the Liberty’s front court, however, that hasn’t had as much of an effect if you look at the standings. The Liberty are undefeated to start the season being the first WNBA team to ever start a season 8-0

Tiffany Hayes - Golden State Valkyries

Has missed three straight games after taking a hit to the face, injuring her nose. This leaves the Valkyries thin at the guard position with Cecilia Zandalasini leaving for EuroBasket, this opens up more opportunities for Kate Martin.
