WNBA Injury Report: Key Player Updates Week 2

Caitlin Clark (Indiana Fever)

After a tremendous start the to the season recording double-doubles in three of the first four games of the season for Indiana, Clark will be out two weeks due to a left quadriceps strain. This will see her miss at least four games. She has been averaging averaging 19.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 9.3 assists, 1,3 steals and 1.0 blocks per game, shooting 40.3 percent from the floor and 31.4 percent from beyond the arc so far this season.

Brittney Sykes (Washington Mystics)

Sykes is dealing with a right leg injury that caused her to miss Friday's loss to the Aces. Sykes has been off to a great start this season, averaging 26.3 points, 5.0 assists, 3.3 rebounds and 1.3 steals across 35.0 minutes per game in three regular-season appearances.

Brittney Griner (Atlanta Dream)

Griner was a late scratch on Sunday with a knee injury that the team labeled as load management. The Dream had played 4 games in 7 days so the veteran center took a game to rest, but shouldn’t expect a long term absence.

Te-Hina Paopao (Atlanta Dream)

The promising rookie has sustained a facial injury that kept her out of Sunday’s game. Paopao sustained the facial injury during Saturday's win over the Wings and didn't return. Her next chance to suit up will come Tuesday against the Sparks

Rickea Jackson (Los Angeles Sparks)

Remains in concussion protocol and has missed three consecutive games. Her absence has been opening up opportunities for rookie Sarah Ashlee Barker, who has impressed to start her career.
