Injuries are shaping the landscape of the 2025 WNBA season, with several star players battling setbacks that could impact both team performance and playoff outlook.

This WNBA injury update breaks down the latest injury updates.

Stay informed with our expert injury analysis and projected availability heading into this week’s games.

Caitlin Clark - Indiana Fever

Clark is beginning Week 2 of an injury to her right groin and is expected to be out to begin the week on Tuesday vs the Liberty. Caitlin injured her right groin two games prior to the All-Star break on July 15th. The team has said Clark underwent further evaluation on her right groin injury and no additional damage was found. She’ll continue rehabbing with the Fever medical team. There is no timetable for her return at this time.

Cameron Brink - Los Angeles Sparks

Brink continues to be out this week, but she has begun participating in morning shootarounds on gamedays. This is another positive step in the right direction for Brink, who has yet to make her season debut due to a torn ACL she sustained in June 2024. Head coach Lynne Roberts said Brink has been cleared for 5-on-5 and that she remains hopeful of her returning before the end of July.

Jackie Young - Las Vegas Aces

Young sustained a right hip injury during the fourth quarter of a July 16th against the Wings and did not return. She played one minute of the WNBA All-Star game this past weekend and was held out of Monday's practice following the All-Star break and is now in jeopardy of missing her first game of the season. She is an essential part of the Aces game plan. Over her last five appearances, Young has averaged 15.0 points, 4.8 assists and 4.4 rebounds in 28.0 minutes per game.

Ariel Atkins - Chicago Sky

Atkins has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Lynx with a leg injury. The severity of the leg injury remains unclear, but Atkins will miss her second consecutive game Tuesday.

Michaela Onyenwere - Chicago Sky

The Sky will also be missing Onyenwere from the lineup to begin the week with a knee injury. The severity of the knee injury is unclear at this time, but this comes after one of the worst games of her season so it had been affecting her.
