Will Jets Breece Hall Be a Top-5 Fantasy Running Back in 2024?

Breece Hall Injury History

Jets star running back Breece Hall suffered a torn ACL and meniscus in his left knee during his rookie season in Week 7 of 2022 against the Denver Broncos. Last year, at sicscore.com, our panel of Pro Football Docs advised fading Breece Hall in fantasy, betting markets, and overall expectations. This was due to the difficulty running backs face in their first year back from an ACL tear, as their cutting ability and deceleration are severely hampered.

Above Expectations in 2023

Hall was able to prove us wrong due to his amazing straight-line speed, which is one of the first attributes to return when recovering from an ACL tear, along with acceleration.

Despite dealing with an injured offensive line and quarterback issues, Hall managed to surpass his season-long prop line of 875.5 rushing yards, gaining 994 rushing yards along with five touchdowns. His ability to overcome these obstacles and perform at a high level was impressive and demonstrated his resilience and talent. Hall's performance last season showcased his potential and ability to adapt, making him a valuable asset for the Jets going forward.

2024 Season Outlook

This year, sicscore.com is backing Hall to be one of the top assets in fantasy football, as he is now in his second year removed from the injury. Already listed as the consensus RB2 behind Christian McCaffrey, we agree with this ranking and believe he should easily surpass his 2024 season-long prop of 1005.5 rushing yards listed at most sportsbooks.

The new additions to the offensive line, including Tyron Smith, John Simpson, and Morgan Moses, along with a healthy Aaron Rodgers, only strengthen his case for a big year. Hall is poised for an outstanding season, making him a top pick for fantasy football enthusiasts.
