USC Injury update: How much can Jordan Addison and Mario Williams contribute versus UCLA?

The reigning Biletnikoff Award winner played 30 snaps in USC’s game versus Colorado. This was after missing the team’s previous two contests against Arizona and Cal as he recovered from a lower-body injury.

In Addison’s return last week, he wasn’t very effective in the 30 snaps he played, only making one catch. He’s usually a fluid route runner and showcases his deep speed. This week, he looked sluggish. Since the severity of the injury is undisclosed, we have to assume Addison's progress is week by week.

Before getting injured, Addison had 39 receptions for 585 yards and seven touchdowns. Last year when he won the Biletnikoff Award and had 100 receptions for 1,593 and 17 touchdowns as a sophomore.

Fellow receiver Mario Williams has been out since the team’s week seven game against Utah. Head coach Lincoln Riley said Williams was “very close” last week and was a game-time decision. Williams did not suit up last week as he’s still nursing an injury. But last week could have indicated that he will be ready to play in USC’s next two games against UCLA and Notre Dame.

Before getting injured, Wiliams had 26 receptions for 493 yards and four touchdowns.

The winner of this game will punch their bid to the Pac-12 title game.
