Treylon Burks Injury: Titans' WR Suffers LCL Sprain

Analysis confirmed: Burks suffered an LCL sprain and will miss just a few weeks, giving him a chance to be ready for Week 1. The Pro Football Docs were confident the knee injury, by video, was not severe enough to end his season and that has come true.

Tennessee Titans' second-year wideout Treylon Burks was carted off at practice Wednesday, but the Pro Football Docs have hope his injury isn't season-ending.

By video, Burks does not appear to suffer an ACL tear or any similarly severe ligament injury, according to our panel of doctors with past NFL experience. The more likely scenario is a bone bruise or a minor sprain resulting in a short term absence.

He will undergo an MRI to evaluate the damage, but the Pro Football Docs are expecting good news from the MRI. Tennessee's Week 1 matchup against the New Orleans Saints takes place in just over three weeks, giving him a chance to be ready for the start of the season – depending on the damage to his knee.

Treylon Burks Knee Injury History

The former Razorback dealt with a minor left knee injury last preseason, prior to his rookie year. He was spotted with an ice pack on the outside of his left knee during a game on Aug. 20, 2022, but the issue did not reappear during the season.

Burks suffered an ACL tear in his senior year of high school, but missed just one game due to injury at the collegiate level in three years at Arkansas.

Based on context clues, Burks' high school ACL tear was likely in his left knee and may explain his reaction to Wednesday's injury.

He reportedly did not put any weight on his left leg while being helped off the field, then carted to the locker room.

If Burks does miss regular season time, it should be a short absence and he can be drafted confidently in all fantasy formats.

He played in 11 games last year because of a concussion and a separate foot issue. Burks finished with 33 catches for 444 yards and a touchdown in his rookie season.

#TreylonBurks left knee. Previous ACL tear, by distanced video, hoping he dodges a bullet. Let's 🙏 for just bone bruise or short term issue.
