Thunder forward Jalen Williams left Wednesday’s Game 2 win over the Suns after suffering a left hamstring injury in the third quarter.
Williams grabbed at his left leg and, after intentionally committing a foul, headed to the locker room after exiting the game.
According to reports, Williams suffered a Grade 1 hamstring strain. Pro Football Doc said that would represent the best-case scenario. Williams is expected to be evaluated weekly, and Pro Football Doc projects a return in the second round of the playoffs for the Thunder.
“Any assumption about time [missed] is just hypothetical at this point, so I’m not going to comment on that,” Thunder coach Mark Daigneault said.
Williams was limited to 33 games this season. He missed the first 19 games while recovering from offseason surgery on his right wrist and also had two separate absences because of a right hamstring strain.
