The Texas A&M Aggies are having one of their worst seasons under coach Jimbo Fisher. The team is 3-4 and sputtering on both sides of the ball. But matters got worse as three offensive linemen were said to be missing the remainder of the season.
Bryce Foster, Aki Ogunbiyi, and Jordan Spasojevic-Moko were the three players that suffered season-ending injuries. Foster is a center, who started in every game last season but missed the first two games of the 2022 season with a knee injury. He was voted to the Freshman All-American team in his last fully healthy season.
Ogunbiyi is the starting left guard, and he suffered a knee injury that ended his season. He started four games this season for the Aggies. Having two interior offensive linemen injured could hurt their chances of keeping defenders out of their quarterbacks’ faces.
Spasojevic-Moko suffered an ankle injury that will end his season. He started two games this season.
Opening day starter Haynes King exited the contest Saturday with an injured shoulder. King lost his job to Max Johnson, who took over the quarterback duties while King was sputtering early in the season. But a hand injury put him on the sideline indefinitely.
Head coach Jimbo Fisher said he’s confident King will be ready to face Ole Miss on Saturday.
The Aggies rank last in the SEC in scoring(22.3 points per game) and 13th in the conference in total offense (342.7 yards per game). These team stats could worsen with a quarterback returning from injury and an injured offensive line.
Ole Miss is favored by 1.5 points on the road against Texas A&M, and the over/under is 54.5, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
