The Oregon Ducks and the North Carolina Tar Heels will face off in the Holiday Bowl. The Ducks finished the regular season as the 15th-ranked team, and the Tar Heels finished first in the ACC Coastal. Both teams have a litany of opt-outs, but two-star players are scheduled to play.
The Oregon Ducks went 9-3 in head coach Dan Lannings' first season as head coach. Lanning's most significant move in his first year is getting Auburn quarterback Bo Nix to transfer to the Ducks.
Nix this season went 271 of 379 for 3,389 and 27 passing touchdowns. He added 504 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns on the ground.
Nix is a four-year starter and decides to use his fifth year of eligibility instead of entering the NFL draft. This means nix will suit up for Oregon in the Holiday Bowl. Oregon's offense is one of four in the nation that averages better than 500 total yards per game, and having a dual-threat quarterback has helped.
Cornerback Christian Gonzalez has declared he's entering the NFL Draft. He led the team this year with four interceptions.
Linebacker Noah Sewell is a three-year starter at Oregon and had 55 tackles this season. He has declared for the NFL Draft.
Oregon went 8-4 against the spread this season.
Oregon is favored by 14.5 points against North Carolina, and the over/under is 73.5, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
