Ole Miss Injury Update: How Will Loss of Troy Brown and AJ Finely Affect the Ole Miss Defense?

The Ole Miss Rebels are coming off a devastating loss against LSU. They led 20-17 at halftime, but injuries to players on their defense proved to be significant losses. LSU opened the second half with a 50-yard touchdown drive, and Ole Miss never got the lead back.

Troy Brown was one of the defenders that went out with an injury.

LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels threw a pass to Josh Williams when Brown came up to make a play but appeared to injure his left shoulder on the tackle. Brown was rolling over on the ground in agony, trying to hold his left shoulder.

Brown is the team’s second-leading tackler and had eight tackles before exiting the game on Saturday. He is questionable to play versus Texas A&M.

The second defender to get injured in the first half was AJ Finley. Finley is the starting safety for the Rebels. The severity of his injury is unknown, but he was immediately ruled out for the remainder of the game.

He leads the team in tackles and interceptions on the season.

The Ole Miss defense gave up 28 unanswered points in the second half after suffering two defensive injuries. So, the Rebel might be in for a long day if both of them can’t play.
