NFL Week 6: 5 FREE Consensus Injury-Based Picks

For three season’s the publicly documented ProFootballDoc five weekly picks record of 59% and +45 units ATS lived elsewhere. Now it is back home where it belongs. This is one of our best features and it is free. To get this info earlier including prop plays and exotics, sign up here.

By using the health advantages from Sports Injury Central field views, last year this feature was 51-15-4 (+16 against the spread) in our five weekly regular season picks mimicking the Circa and Westgate Superbook contests.

Our Week 5 picks finished one unit under 2-3 which lowered our record to above 11-14 (44%) on the season.

Follow up each week at sicscore.com or follow us on Twitter @SICscore for our ATS/Totals picks of the week as we plan to continue our winning ways for a fourth straight season.

Here are the 5 consensus injury-based picks heading into a packed Week 6 slate:

SF -9.5 @ CLE

The Browns will once again be without QB Deshaun Watson who is dealing with a rotator cuff contusion. In to start is former XFL player P.J. Walker, who is the third QB the Browns have started in just 6 games. This is a good example of why our SIC Picks product is so valuable as we recommended taking this line at -5 on Tuesday. The SIC score algorithm suggests a blowout regardless of the line change and QB change. Expect the 49ers defense to wreak havoc on the Browns injured OL and to create confusion for the inexperienced quarterback.

NE @ LVR -2.5

Last week we recommended Saints +1.5 over the Patriots and we once again will go against the Belichick led team. The defense issues have not changed since last week with stars Matthew Judon and Christian Gonzolez out long term. Issues at OL have been abundant all year and continue Week 6 with LG Cole Strange out and RT Riley Reiff not yet ready to return to the field. Wideout Juju Smith-Schuster is out with a concussion which doesn’t quite hurt them but gives them even less firepower in an already lifeless offense. The Raiders 87.3 SIC Score defensive rating should be plenty to stifle the Patriots and hand them yet another loss.

PHI -6.5 @ NYJ

The Eagles hold one of the biggest differentials of the week holding a healthier team score of almost 14 points. This Jets score in the first few weeks was low because of the horrid OL issues and those issues have become worse. Alijah Vera-Tucker is out for the season due to a torn achilles meaning teh OL will endure even more shuffle before the Week 6 match. Defensively is where the new injuries with all three starting CBs out. Both Sauce Gardner and D.J. Reed are out due to concussions. The Eagles have new defensive issues in Darius Slay and Jalen Carter who will both miss but have depth and should power through the Jets maladies covering easily.

CAR @ MIA -14

One of the largest spreads of the week is one of our favorite picks of the week due to the tremendous amount of Panthers defensive injuries. The secondary has been a concern for weeks and has managed to get worse with Von Bell listed as out due to quadriceps injury. His injury is added to both starting CBs that are out/hampered and the FS who has missed multiple weeks. Star LB Shaq Thomson is OFS due to a leg injury and star pass rusher Brian Burns is hampered by a bothersome ankle injury. The worst is yet to come as they face the number one scoring offense in the NFL (36.2 PTS/G) in the Dolphins. Speedstar Devon Achane is on IR but Mostert and Co. are enough to cover against the hampered Panthers.

MIN -4 @ CHI

Usually when losing such a star talent like Justin Jefferson a team would crumble but the Vikings go into Week 6 WITH the health advantage over the Bears. The 11-point differential between the teams is the 5th largest of the Sunday games. This holds because of the Bears lowly offensive score who will carry a fourth string RRB albeit bulldozer D’Onta Foreman. Defensively Eddie Jackson has a chance to play but will not be 100% effective due to his foot injury. Jefferson is a major loss but the Vikings have a hoard of talented pass catcher including Jordan Addison, T.J. Hockenson and K.J. Osborn. Expect the 1-4 Vikings to find just their second win of the year against an injured Bears offense.
