Ronald Acuña Jr., Braves - Left Hamstring
Ronald Acuña Jr. is expected to begin a minor league rehab assignment during the All-Star break as he continues to recover from a left hamstring strain suffered on June 9. While the Braves have not announced a detailed rehab schedule, the expectation is that the former NL MVP will return to the major league lineup shortly after the All-Star break if he progresses without setbacks.
Mark Vientos, Mets - Right Hand
Mark Vientos will be placed on the injured list after suffering a fracture in his right hand when he was hit by a 92.2 mph sinker from Michael Wacha during Thursday's game against the Royals. Although Vientos initially remained in the game after the hit-by-pitch, he did not return to the field for the third inning.

Aaron Judge, Yankees - Right Rib
Aaron Judge continues to recover from a stress fracture of his right rib and is scheduled to undergo follow-up testing during the All-Star break to evaluate his healing progress. The Yankees star has not played since May 31 and was placed on the injured list June 5 after a CT scan, MRI, and consultation with a specialist confirmed the diagnosis. New York is optimistic the additional imaging will show sufficient healing and provide a clearer timetable for Judge's return.
Ranger Suárez, Red Sox - Left Groin
Ranger Suárez has been placed on the 15-day injured list with a left groin strain, forcing him to miss next week's All-Star Game. The move was made retroactive to Monday after Suárez exited his previous start with groin discomfort.
Brandon Woodruff, Brewers - Right Shoulder
Brandon Woodruff has been diagnosed with a new injury to the anterior capsule of his right shoulder after leaving his most recent start with a significant drop in velocity. An MRI revealed damage to the same area that was surgically repaired following the 2023 season. Initially diagnosed with shoulder inflammation, Woodruff will now seek a second opinion from surgeon Dr. Keith Meister. The injury surfaced during just his third start after returning from a nearly two-month absence following surgery to remove a shoulder cyst.

Willson Contreras, Red Sox - Left Foot
Willson Contreras exited Wednesday's game after fouling a pitch off his left foot in the third inning. Although he stayed in to finish the at-bat and briefly returned to first base, he was replaced shortly afterward following a visit from Boston's medical staff. The Red Sox later announced that Contreras was removed with a bruised left foot, and his status will be monitored over the coming days.
Mike Trout, Angels - Right Hamstring
Mike Trout returned from the injured list after missing 17 games with a strained right hamstring suffered while running the bases on June 17. The Angels eased him back into the lineup as the designated hitter, batting him second against the Rangers, as he continues to build back to full workload. Trout's activation comes just in time for the All-Star break, with no reported setbacks during his recovery.
Munetaka Murakami, White Sox - Right Hamstring
Munetaka Murakami has begun a rehab assignment with Triple-A Charlotte as he works his way back from a Grade 2 right hamstring strain suffered on May 29 while trying to beat out a double-play grounder against the Tigers. The White Sox plan to have Murakami play five to seven innings at first base before starting him again over the next two games. Manager Will Venable said the club will take his recovery day by day and has not established a timeline for his return, preferring to evaluate how his hamstring responds to increased game action.
Jorge Polanco, Mets - Achilles
Jorge Polanco returned from the injured list after missing more than three months with a lingering Achilles injury that dated back to Spring Training. The Mets eased him back into action as the designated hitter rather than at first base, where he had originally been expected to play after signing a four-year, $40 million contract.
Ranger Suárez, Red Sox - Left Adductor/Groin
Ranger Suárez remains questionable for his next start after leaving Sunday's outing against the Angels with left adductor and groin tightness. The All-Star has resumed throwing, completing a flat-ground session ahead of Tuesday's game, but his next major hurdle will come Thursday when he is scheduled to throw a bullpen session. If he completes that workout without any setbacks, Suárez could be cleared to start Saturday against the Mets.
Tuesday, July 7th
Konnor Griffin, Pirates - Left Ring Finger
The Pirates placed rookie shortstop Konnor Griffin on the 10-day injured list with an injury to the knuckle on the ring finger of his left hand. According to director of sports medicine Todd Tomczyk, Griffin is expected to miss 8 to 10 weeks while recovering from the injury, sidelining one of Pittsburgh's top young players during the playoff race.
Byron Buxton, Twins - Hip
The Twins placed Byron Buxton on the 10-day injured list after he aggravated the right hip injury that has bothered him for much of the season. The move ensures the All-Star center fielder will remain sidelined through the All-Star break. It marks Buxton's first trip to the injured list this season despite ongoing hip issues that have periodically limited his availability.
Jhony Brito, Padres - UCL
The Padres recalled right-hander Jhony Brito from Triple-A El Paso after he completed his recovery from UCL surgery that caused him to miss the entire 2025 season. Brito has impressed during his rehab campaign, posting a 2.30 ERA, 1.12 WHIP, and 36 strikeouts against 15 walks over 43 innings across 10 minor league starts. He returns to the major leagues for the first time since the 2024 season.
Monday, July 6th
Martín Pérez, Braves - Left Forearm
Martín Pérez was placed on the 15-day injured list after suffering a left forearm contusion when he was struck by a line drive off the bat of Juan Soto during Sunday's game against the Mets. Pérez exited the game immediately following the injury, but postgame X-rays were negative for any fracture.
Munetaka Murakami, White Sox - Right Hamstring
Munetaka Murakami is set to begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Charlotte on Monday, marking the final step in his recovery from a Grade 2 right hamstring strain. The White Sox rookie has been sidelined since May 29, when he suffered the injury while trying to beat out a double-play grounder against the Tigers. At the time of the injury, Murakami was tied for the American League lead in home runs and ranked first in runs scored. If his rehab assignment goes smoothly, the slugging first baseman could return to Chicago's lineup before the All-Star break.
Ranger Suárez, Red Sox - Left Adductor
Ranger Suárez exited Sunday's start against the Angels with two outs in the third inning because of left adductor tightness. The injury occurred when the Red Sox left-hander jumped in an attempt to field a chopper hit by Jo Adell over the mound. After Boston's 7-5 victory, interim manager Chad Tracy said it was still unclear whether Suárez would require an MRI, leaving his status for his next start uncertain pending further evaluation.
Edwin Díaz, Dodgers - Right Elbow
Edwin Díaz is progressing toward a return after undergoing surgery to remove loose bodies from his right elbow. The Dodgers closer threw his first live batting practice session ahead of Sunday's game against the Padres, a significant milestone in his recovery process. Sunday, July 5th
Byron Buxton, Twins - Right Hip
Byron Buxton exited Sunday's game against the Yankees after aggravating his right hip injury during the first inning. Buxton drove in two runs in Saturday's 11-4 victory before suffering the latest setback.
Jazz Chisholm Jr., Yankees - Right Big Toe
Jazz Chisholm Jr. exited Sunday's 6-1 loss to the Twins with discomfort in his right big toe. The Yankees infielder appeared to suffer the injury after flying out to right field in the fifth inning, as he gingerly jogged to first base and noticeably limped back to the dugout. Chisholm then had a brief conversation with manager Aaron Boone before being removed from the game. His status remains uncertain pending further evaluation.
Brandon Woodruff, Brewers - Right Shoulder
Brandon Woodruff has been placed back on the injured list with inflammation in his throwing shoulder, just one day after an early exit against the Diamondbacks because of a significant drop in velocity. The outing was his third start since returning from a nearly two-month absence due to a similar issue. Woodruff's first stint on the injured list also followed a concerning decline in fastball velocity during an April 30 start against Arizona, when he lasted just 1⅓ innings.
José Ramírez, Guardians - Left Hand (Hamate Surgery)
José Ramírez continues to make steady progress in his recovery from left hand surgery and is expected to begin taking batting practice soon.
