Baltimore Orioles
Adley Rutschman (oblique): Added to the 10-day IL with a left oblique strain.
Jordan
Westburg (hand): Considered day-to-day after he exited the June 21 game with left hand discomfort.
Grayson Rodriguez (right elbow inflammation, right lat strain): Expected to return in the second half of the season.
Tyler O'Neill (left shoulder impingement): Rehab shut down, no clear timeline.
Toronto Blue Jays
Max Scherzer (right thumb inflammation) on rehab assignment.
Daulton Varsho (hamstring) improving, clearer timeline expected soon.
Boston Red Sox
Alex Bregman (right quad strain): Targeting a return before the All-Star break.
Tanner Houck (right flexor pronator strain): Rehab start expected June 18.
Masataka Yoshida (right shoulder labrum tear): Progressing in throwing, could return soon.
Wilyer Abreu (left oblique strain): Expected return by June 20.
Chicago White Sox
Liam Hendriks (right hip inflammation): Playing catch, but no return date set.
Cleveland Guardians
Shane Bieber (right UCL tear): Set to resume throwing by June 16.
Detroit Tigers
Jackson Jobe (Tommy John surgery): Season-ending surgery.
Reese Olson (right ring finger inflammation): Rehab underway.
Matt Vierling (right shoulder inflammation): Rehab assignment ongoing.
Houston Astros
Lance McCullers Jr. (foot sprain): Placed on the injured list on June 16 with a right foot sprain.
Isaac Paredes (left hamstring): Day-to-day after injury on June 12.
Kansas City Royals
Jonathan India (left shoulder subluxation): Day-to-day, available off bench.
Cole Ragans: Ragans will be shut down for four weeks due to a mild rotator cuff strain, per manager Matt Quatraro. No surgery or injection is needed—just rest. The 27-year-old All-Star was re-evaluated after landing on the IL last week, shortly after a rough return from a previous groin injury.
Minnesota Twins
Royce Lewis (left hamstring strain): Mild strain, placed on 10-day IL.
Byron Buxton (left elbow contusion): Injury after being hit by pitch on June 14.
New York Yankees
Giancarlo Stanton (elbow epicondylitis): Expected return during Angels series starting June 16.
Luis Gil (right lat strain): 10-14 days from live hitters.
Jake Cousins (right forearm strain): Likely Tommy John surgery after UCL injury.
Oakland Athletics
Gunnar Hoglund (right hip labrum): Out for the season following surgery.
Seattle Mariners
Bryce Miller (right elbow): Received a PRP injection to treat a bone spur in his right elbow. Surgery is not currently being considered.
Victor Robles (left shoulder dislocation): Entered the strength-building phase of rehab for a left shoulder dislocation. He is expected to resume baseball activities after approximately six weeks and could return later in the season.
Tampa Bay Rays
Hunter Bigge was carted off the field Thursday night after he was struck by a foul ball in the dugout. R ays manager Kevin Cash said Bigge was hit in the side of the face, but never lost consciousness. He is coherent and undergoing tests at a hospital, Cash said.
Texas Rangers
Tyler Mahle (right shoulder fatigue): Placed on 15-day IL, retroactive to June 12.
Evan Carter (right wrist soreness): Awaiting diagnostic results.
Nathan Eovaldi (right triceps fatigue): Progressing well and may return to the starting rotation later this month.
Arizona Diamondbacks
Justin Martinez (Tommy John surgery): Season-ending surgery, expected 12-13 months recovery.
A.J. Puk (left elbow inflammation): Throwing program paused, visiting Dr. ElAttrache.
Corbin Carroll (hand): exited Wednesday’s 8–1 loss to the Blue Jays after taking a 91 mph pitch off his left hand in the 8th inning. X-rays came back negative, confirming no fracture, he is day-to-day.
Gabriel Moreno (hand): added to the 10-day IL on June 19 with a right-hand contusion suffered in the series against the Reds in early June.
Atlanta Braves
Chris Sale (ribs): Added to the 15-day injured list with a fractured left rib cage suffered on June 18 when Sale made a diving stop, will miss multiple weeks and more than the minimum time on IL.
Daysbel Hernandez (right forearm inflammation): Placed on 15-day IL (retroactive to June 5).
Chicago Cubs
Shota
Imanaga (left hamstring strain): had a bullpen session on June 17 then started for Triple-A Iowa on June 20. throwing over 4 innings, his next start will be for the Cubs.
Eli Morgan (right elbow): scheduled to pitch for Triple-A Iowa on June 17.
Porter Hodge (left hip impingement): scheduled to pitch for Triple-A Iowa on June 17.
Cincinnati Reds:
Hunter Greene (right groin strain/back soreness) has a lengthy IL stint. Austin Hays (foot contusion) remains day-to-day.
Colorado Rockies:
Kyle Freeland (back stiffness) placed on 15-day IL.
Los Angeles Dodgers
Shohei Ohtani (elbow) made his long-awaited return to pitching for the Dodgers in the June 16 game against the Padres. This was his first MLB start since August 2023, after recovering from his second Tommy John surgery. Originally, the Dodgers had planned for Ohtani to make another simulated appearance before allowing him to pitch in MLB games. However, Ohtani pushed to return sooner, and the team's medical staff agreed.
In his first outing, Ohtani served as an opener and pitched 1 innings. Over the next few outings, he will gradually increase his workload until he’s capable of handling a full starter’s role. Ohtani will also continue as the Dodgers' designated hitter on non-pitching days.
Roki Sasaki (right shoulder impingement): Stopped throwing, no timeline to resume. Manager Dave Roberts said that the mindset should be to plan on "life without him."
Emmet Sheehan (Tommy John surgery): Expected return on June 18 for his first MLB start since 2023.
Tyler Glasnow (right shoulder inflammation): threw two simulated innings against Minor League hitters on June 17 and could begin a rehab assignment next month.
Blake Snell (left shoulder inflammation): Bullpen sessions progressing.
Milwaukee Brewers
Brandon Woodruff (right elbow): Threw a 25-pitch bullpen session on June 15, his first mound work since being hit by a comebacker on June 3. Woodruff reported that he "felt good" following the session.
Garrett Mitchell (left oblique tightness): Began a rehab assignment with the ACL Brewers on June 14 due to left oblique tightness. He could be promoted to Triple-A Nashville in about a week.
Blake Perkins (right shin fracture): Also started a rehab assignment with the ACL Brewers on June 14 while recovering from a right shin fracture, with a potential move to Triple-A Nashville soon.
New York Mets
Tylor Megill (right elbow strain): Placed on the 15-day injured list with a right elbow sprain on June 17.
Kodai Senga (right hamstring strain): Shut down for two weeks as of June 12.
Mark Vientos (right hamstring strain): Rehab assignment starts June 17.
Jose Siri (fractured left tibia): Setback in rehab, reimaging planned in late June.
Frankie Montas (right lat strain): Rehab outing struggles, final start before rehab window ends.
Sean Manaea (right oblique strain): Rehab continues, struggles in recent start.
Philadelphia Phillies
Aaron Nola (ankle/sprained ribs) on two-week throwing shutdown.
Bryce Harper (wrist inflammation) taking ground balls but no bat swings.
San Diego Padres
Fernando Tatis (hand): hit on the right hand against the Dodgers on June 19, initial X-rays were negative, and he will undergo further scans today June 20.
Michael King (shoulder): Dealing with a pinched nerve in his right shoulder, he is light throwing but has no timetable for his return and will be out at least through the All-Star break.
Jackson Merrill (concussion): Placed on 7-day IL after head injury on June 14.
Yu Darvish (right elbow inflammation): Simulated game went well on June 14.
San Francisco Giants
Matt Chapman (right hand inflammation): Rehab begins June 20.
Justin Verlander (right pec strain): Bullpen session June 14, could return during upcoming series.
