Arizona Cardinals star wideout Marquise Brown exited the Week 6 loss to the Seahawks with a lower left leg injury.
By video, the Pro Football Docs have significant worry for a foot injury, likely a Lisfranc sprain. If confirmed, the injury would likely keep him out several weeks and he would be fortunate to avoid IR.
Brown went down holding his left foot and was helped off the field without putting any weight on it.
The Cardinals play Thursday night against the Saints and will have DeAndre Hopkins back for the first time off suspension.
Brown collected 5 catches for 68 yards before exiting. He has 485 yards on 43 catches this season and 3 receiving touchdowns, leading the team in all three categories.
The Cardinals bye doesn't come until Week 13.
Brown, the fourth-year wideout, suffered a Lisfranc injury that required surgery in college. He underwent a procedure to place a screw in his foot in January 2019.
He missed the draft combine, but returned for training camp and had a stellar rookie season. The 25-year-old underwent surgery in March 2020 to have the screw removed from his left foot.
The hope is this injury is not as severe as the college injury.
