Update: James finished with 21 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists after returning to start the second quarter.
LeBron James suffered a left ankle sprain halfway through the first quarter of the Lakers' Monday night bout with the Pacers.
James was able to return to start the second quarter.
By video, he did not appear to suffer any reaggravation of his past left ankle injuries, according to the Pro Basketball Docs. Swelling should not be a worry.
James, who has suffered a number of sprains on both ankles over his 19-year career, missed seven of the final nine games last season with an ankle sprain that he called “pretty nasty.”
The four-time MVP returned last Friday from a November 9 left groin strain that cost him five games.
