Kyle Pitts Injury: Falcons Tight End Exits With Knee Issue

Update: Head coach Arthur Smith did not provide an update after the game, but Jordan Schultz reported the team is hopeful he did not suffer any torn ligaments.
Falcons second-year tight end Kyle Pitts appeared to suffer a severe right knee injury in the third quarter against the Bears.
By video, Pitts appeared to suffer an MCL sprain with the possibility of a bone bruise on direct hit to his right knee from a Bears defender.
Pitts will miss multiple weeks and there is a chance the MRI shows damage to his ACL as well.
His leg was planted when the defender hit his knee, causing it to hyperextend.
Pitts had 3 catches for 43 yards on 5 targets before exiting. He has 28 catches for 356 yards and 2 touchdowns on the season.
Parker Hesse and MyCole Pruitt are the backup tight ends for Atlanta.
The Falcons head to Washington to play the Commanders next week.
