The Sixers injury woes continue with the loss of Tyrese Maxey to a hamstring injury, he exited Wednesday’s game and did not return to what was described as “hamstring soreness”, it was learned early Thursday that Maxey will miss multiple weeks, the Sixers have started the season 1-6 with Joel Embiid yet to play and Paul George only having recently returned
Beal has been in and out of the lineup with a lingering elbow issue. He was diagnosed with a sprained right elbow and has missed two of the last six games. Any time he is sidelined, Ryan Dunn will fill in.
Banchero was diagnosed with a torn oblique and will be re-evaluated in 4-6 weeks. This is a significant setback for the Orlando Magic, who have been a rising team in the East. Banchero had been off to a great start this season, averaging 29 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 5.6 assists in his first five games.
Despite coming into training camp healthy, Zion's hamstring issues have resurfaced. He missed the game on Nov. 3 and is starting the week listed as questionable but was able to push through on 11/07 scoring 29 points. The Pelicans have not had the start they were hoping for, so Zion's absence will be sorely missed if he has to miss additional time.
Markkanen has missed three games leading up to the Nov. 7th matchup against the Bucks due to a back injury (a game he is expected to start). He’s may not play full minutes in the coming days, which opens up an opportunity for rookie lottery pick Kyle Filipowski.
Ball has returned to the injury report, though the good news is that his knees are fine. He has a sprained right wrist that will sideline him for approximately ten days, with his expected return around Nov. 9.
Embiid has been able to fully participate in practice and 5-on-5 scrimmages. While the Sixers may continue a cautious approach to his availability, he is expected be available next Tuesday versus the New York Knicks after his suspension.
