Key Injuries From First Week of NBA Season - Star Guard Stephen Curry Nursing Ankle Issue

NBA

Stephen Curry (Golden State Warriors) -

Tweaked his left ankle twice on Oct. 27, once in the third quarter, sat on the bench and returned in the fourth only to immediately turn it once again, exiting the game and not returning, he has extensive history with ankle injuries including as recently as March of this year, thought that was a right ankle, given his history this is natrually a very concerining one for Curry and the Warriors are prepared for Curry to miss some time, he had been averaging 18.3ppg, 5.3rpg and 6.7apg through the first three games

Dejounte Murray (New Orleans Pelicans) -

Underwent surgery on his left hand to repair a fracture sustained in the season opener, he will miss four to six weeks while recovering, because he was hurt in the season opener, it remains to be seen how well Murray will fit in with the Pelicans, but he was a prized trade acquisition this Summer so he is an important piece for the Pelicans.

Josh Hart (New York Knicks) -

The Villanova alum has had a tremendous start to the season averaging 16ppg, 7pg and 3apg, but has now been listed as questionable for the past two games with right ankle impingement, he will need to be monitored but this injury is different from a sprain and could be a longer injury to heal although last few he games he has played through.

Jonathan Isaac (Orlando Magic) -

Has missed the last two games with a listed hip injury, Isaac is an important defender for the young Orlando Magic who have been a surprisingly resilient team the last two years. We at sicscore.com will continue to monitor his status in the coming games.

James Wiseman (Indiana Pacers) -

Sustained a torn Achilles in the opening game of the season and will miss the entire 2024-2025 campaign, Wisman has a second year on his contract that is a team option meaning there's a chance his time as a Pacer has concluded. Huge disappointment as the young center has dealt with numerous injuries issues to start career including  a significant knee injury in 2021.
