Josh Jacobs Injury: Raiders RB Hurts Finger on Right Hand, Returns
2 min read • December 09, 2022
Las Vegas running back Josh Jacobs suffered an apparent finger injury on a second down carry in the third quarter, but was able to return after a quick trip to the locker room.
X-rays on Jacobs' right pinky finger were negative, ruling out any serious injury for the league's leading rusher. He likely suffered a pinky finger dislocation when his hand was trapped under his body, but the injury shouldn't affect his availability.
The 24-year-old was injured at the 11:36 mark in the third quarter, but returned by the 2:42 mark. The only concern with a finger injury is potential ball security issues, but that hasn't been the case so far with Jacobs.
He had 19 rushes for 73 yards before exiting and 8 rushes for 26 yards after returning, finishing with 99 yards.
Jacobs had rushed for over 100 yards in three straight games entering the contest.
The Raiders face the Patriots in Week 15 and Jacobs should be fully available, especially given a 10-day rest.
