Jonathan Taylor, the Colts star running back, missed practice Wednesday while nursing a right ankle sprain he reaggravated in the Week 8 loss to the Commanders.
The 23-year-old is likely truly questionable for this week’s contest against the Patriots and would be limited if he suits up, according to the Pro Football Docs.
Here’s the play where he re-injured his right ankle against Washington.
Taylor returned to the game with both ankles taped, but had just 38 yards on 11 carries after re-entering the game.
He reportedly chose to sit out Week 6 after suffering his initial ankle injury in Week 4.
With the Colts at 3-4-1, it might make sense for Taylor to rest his ankle a week and return at full strength against the Raiders in Week 10.
If Taylor is out this week, Deion Jackson and newly acquired Zack Moss will likely handle a majority of the action.
Colts vs. Patriots Week 9 Odds
