Ja'Marr Chase Injury: When to Expect Bengals WR Back in Full

Bengals star wideout Ja’Marr Chase is reportedly not expected to play Sunday against the Titans, roughly six weeks after initially injuring his hip against the Saints.

This week marks six weeks from the initial injury, but Chase played through his hip subluxation in Week 7 before reaggravating the injury.

Week 13 will be the true tail end of his 4-to-6 week recovery timeline.

The Pro Football Docs expect Chase to be active for next week’s contest against the Chiefs, but how much he will be involved is up to the team.

Chase was on crutches up until Nov. 14 because the bone bruise in his hip requires rest and can’t be pushed through until fully healed.

The second-year wideout logged limited practices all week, a good step in his recovery. However, the team is smart to wait until he can be fully effective. Any return before his hip is fully healed puts him at risk for complications with that hip going forward.

After gaining 1,455 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns in 17 games his rookie season, Chase has 605 yards and 6 touchdowns in 7 games this year.

Bengals vs. Titans Week 12 Odds

Cincinnati is favored by 1 point on the road against the Titans and the over/under is 42.5, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
